You probably have heard of the word Gangnam from the popular song, “Gangnam Style” by K-pop star PSY which was released in 2012. If you have not been to Seoul, Korea or do not know much about Korea, then it may be helpful to learn that Gangnam is actually sub-city/district in the city of Seoul.
Gangnam is known for being a very big business hub in Seoul. It is also known for very high end fashion shopping. It is not all business and expensive shopping though as there are lots of fun things to do. Coming out of Gangnam Station exits 2, 7, 10, and 11 you will be along Gangnam-daero street. This street is long and has many popular food chains and stores. 2 of the most popular stores to visit along this road are the giant Kakao and Line Friends stores.
Another thing you can do in Gangnam is visit the Starfield COEX Mall. The mall is extremely popular and offers many different stores. The mall also has many amazing restaurants to eat at. The mall has an amazing aquarium and is definitely worth your time going through. The mall also features the an amazing library in the middle of it called the “Starfield Library.” It is a great place to relax, read, and take photos.
Gangnam is a great place in Seoul to explore. There are plenty of trendy areas to visit there and lots to explore by just walking around. If you are able to, I highly recommend going a few times to get the full experience and see everything Gangnam has to offer.
